Design & Technology Curriculum Statement
We endeavour to teach our children to become creative and innovative thinkers. Design and Technology is about providing opportunities for children to use creativity and imagination to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems, considering their own and others’ needs.
We provide our children with the skills needed to investigate, design, make, and evaluate their own work. Making mistakes is a huge part of Design and Technology and is integral to learning, so we encourage our children to think of improvements that could be made to their products.
Children will be taught textiles, structures, mechanisms, electrical and mechanical systems, ICT and cooking and nutrition.
